The Logger Bar Has Reopened!
Kate Martin has reopened the famous Logger Bar after many months of closure due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. Kate had a local craftsman install wood fencing in front on the sidewalk for outdoor, smoke-free seating. Kate has added the additional touches of astroturf and a planter sporting flowers and a topiary elk/deer (you decide!). The Logger Bar is now currently open Thursday-Saturday 4pm-11pm. Stop by and enjoy a summer cocktail!
Annie & Mary Day Celebration a Rousing Success!
Sunday July 11th was one of the most successful Annie & Mary Days in the history of the annual event. The parade featured Grand Marshall, BLVFD Chief David Vainuku and several BLVFD members driving fire trucks with sirens blasting! Bandemonium, giant puppets, Annie & Mary, great cars, horseback riders and many other participants. The Bill Nessler Car Show featured 67 amazing vehicles for folks to peruse. Annie & Mary Day Celebration is “Back on Track!”
It has been a long year for everyone- but the 53rd annual Annie & Mary Day will be celebrated once again on Sunday, July 11th, 2021. The fun begins at 11am with the parade featuring dancers, music and quirky floats. From noon to 5pm the action continues at Perigot Park. Historic Building Plaques for Blue Lake Businesses
The Blue Lake Chamber of Commerce has presented four new historic building plaques to the Logger Bar, Chumayo Spa, Dell’Arte and the Mad River Grange. Chamber board members, Alicia Rousseau; Karen Miller and Mariel Morison, took on the project to research the history of these great old buildings. Sandra Poston of Engravability created the plaques with funding from the Blue Lake Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber hopes to provide future plaques for other historic buildings as funds become available.

Jo Patterson, owner of the Blue Lake Laundromat, sent us the following: “The laundromat has been open 7 days a week, 360 days a year since 1984, so Covid-19 did not cause us to close.
