Pastels in the Park!
Perigot Park was the scene for this year’s Pastels in the Park on Saturday, August 1st. Local businesses and organizations purchased squares with the money going to Blue Lake Parks and Recreation. The art was created in two separate shifts to keep social distance with required mask wearing. Low & Slo BBQ and Virgo Rising were open with delicious food offerings. Mask Makers-Cheerful Designs
Renee Griggs of Cheerful Designs is now making masks. Renee’s business was mainly sports apparel, but with the onset of the coronavirus she moved to making masks. With family support, she has made over 900 masks. Some were donated and many were sold at $5 each. Renee continues to take orders. The Blue Lake Chamber of Commerce Board has decided that due to the ongoing COVID 19 crisis in our county that we will be postponing this year’s Annie & Mary Day Celebration to a more appropriate time in the future.
