Holiday Tree Decoration Celebration!
On Sunday, the Blue Lake Holiday Tree was decorated with help from the community. The Korean Fir (Abies Koreana) was purchased by the Blue Lake Chamber of Commerce in 2017 to create a new holiday tradition for the community. Pastels in the Park
Artists gathered in Perigot Park on Saturday, July 27th to create sidewalk pastels for local businesses and organizations as part of “Get Out & Play Day” sponsored by Blue Lake Parks & Recreation. For $100 a business/organization could purchase a square and have their selected artist create artwork advertising their business/organization. The money raised went to Blue Lake Parks & Rec to fund their various programs. Over 15 squares were purchased!
Chamber Mixer at Mad River Brewery
Mad River Brewing Company hosted the Blue Lake Chamber mixer on Thursday, June 20th. MRBC provided great food and of course, great beer. This year, the 52nd annual Annie & Mary Day Celebration will be on Sunday, July 14th. The fun begins at 8:00am with the Mad River Grange breakfast. Blue Lake Museum Spring Reception
The Blue Lake Museum held it’s Spring re-opening reception on Sunday, April 14th. There are new exhibits to view on the Blue Lake Advocate, law enforcement and antique toys. The Blue Lake Museum Society was organized in 1980. In 1982, the Museum opened in the Old Arcata and Mad River Railroad Depot on Railroad Avenue. The Museum will be open May- September. Have you been to Coffee Club? Coffee Club was started in May 2018 by Sarah Finestone & Sean Stanford Graves. They provided local breakfast goodies and “Coffee Educator”, Sean, served up a variety of coffees and teas to try.
